Did you know that your soul is the womb that what-ever you give attention to..grows and reproduces in your life? This is where your thoughts and your will unite together and choices are conceived which become the springboard of your destiny.
Therefore, it is important to guard the gates to your soul so that the issues you face in life are what you would like for them to be. Have you wondered why good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people? It helps to understand when we realize that what we give attention to really does affect our lives and even those around us are affected. Let’s look at the entrances to the soul.
What are the gates to your soul?
The gates to your soul are: Eye gate, Ear gate and Mouth gate. The eye and ear gate are whatever you look at or listen to…whether physically (that which you can actually look at or listen to) or inwardly-mentally (that which you think about, imagine, visualize, ponder inwardly even deep within yourself). The eye and ear gates are entrances to your soul. The mouth gate (exit gate) opens to communicate with others what you have communicated within yourself-that which you gave attention to. In other words, what goes in your soul’s gates come out and produces in your life. What goes in comes out.
Your attention is so valuable that everything is after your attention! This explains why there are battles going on in your mind. Let’s think about this a moment. What are some areas that we give our attention to? Thoughts, words, actions, television, phone, computer, social media, music, teachings, books, movies, situations, circumstances, people, people’s expressions, gossip…whether good or bad… its anything that we look at or listen to directly or indirectly that influences our lives.
Be selective in where and what you give your attention to.
Why? Because, what you give attention to creates bigness into it. What is big in your life right now? What do you think the source is? What thoughts did you give attention to? Were they your original thoughts, or thoughts that you adopted from others? Thoughts that came about because of where/what you gave attention to? What issues are you facing in life?
You may ask, “How can what I am going through right now be a by-product of what I think?” Your soul is the womb where your thoughts, when nurtured by your attention, grows and develops and produces more like thoughts which influence your will (what you will or won’t do). Then the thoughts and the will become as one to produce choices which in turn produce words and actions. Your words and actions produce your life. Truly, the soul is where issues of life begin.
Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our heart (soul which is the mind, will and emotions) with everything that is within us, because out of it are the very issues we face in life. Thoughts are something that affects our lives from the moment that we were conceived. It is something that is so common to us that we may not realize that thoughts are very powerful and have life changing abilities to it that affect our destinies. This may be an introduction to become more aware of what you give your attention to.
Be encouraged to change the way you think and change your life. If you are experiencing symptoms of sickness, disease, poverty, depression, anger, hopelessness, loneliness, selfishness, thoughts of suicide, thoughts to bully someone, and the list goes on… at this moment make the quality decision to learn to change the way you think. Think with the purpose to change your life and the life of those around you. Remember your future hinges on what takes place in your soul. So be selective and guard your soul by choosing your own thoughts and be determined to think thoughts that produce life and wellness. Your future is worth the energy it takes to guard your soul.
Medical science has proven that thoughts vibrate to the tune of their own frequencies and have the power to produce health and life or sickness and death. The Word of God (Bible) shows us that power of life and death is in the tongue. Proverbs 18:21.
What are you saying? Do you assign your words with the purpose to release life, love and forgiveness or are they released with the power to hurt, hate and retaliate whether to yourself or others?
It does make a difference what you think and what you give your attention to. The type of thoughts you choose will affect your body and your life, be encouraged to think good thoughts. Think good thoughts about others. Think good thoughts about you and your life. You have the power to turn things around by changing what you look at, listen to, and think on. Choose wisely for it will even affect your children to the 4th generation (see www.drleaf.com) I have heard testimonies of people who were abused, bullied, wanting to commit suicide and give up change the way they think and love life because of it. It does make a difference.
God has set before you, life and death, blessings and curses and He encourages you to choose life so that you and your seed may live. See Deuteronomy 30:19-20. God has set in the universe this law in Deuteronomy which some have called the Law of Attraction. It is set into motion by God and when we listen and obey what it says we get the rewards of it whether life or death, good or bad, blessings or curses.
The best way to change our way of thinking is to read God’s Word and allow His ways and His thoughts to become one with ours. Spend time with His Word and allow it to change the way you think, talk and act. Give your attention to His Word so that it becomes BIG in your life and literally change circumstances in your life as you change the way you think. Be selective of your friends and choose those who value you and speak good of you. You have heard it, what you think about you bring about and You become what you hang around. Proverbs 23:7 tells us that as a man thinks so is he. Since you have a choice… Choose life.
